Gosho Passage (June 2026)
"On Repaying Debts of Gratitude" (Hōon-shō)
Not once have I considered retreat. However, almost all cowards among my disciples and followers have either discarded their faith or have considered regressing in their practice. (Gosho, p. 1120)
This writing teaches that steadfast faith — never retreating in the face of difficulty — is the true expression of repaying our debt of gratitude to the Buddha, our parents, our country, and all living beings.
